Plain answers about your data, your subscription, and your money. Last updated August 6, 2026.

A quick, honest note. Bizby is a guidance and motivation tool, not a guarantee of income. We help you learn and take steps. We do not promise you will make money, and nothing here is financial, legal, tax, or professional business advice.

Privacy Policy

Effective August 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Bizby (“Bizby”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Bizby is operated by Henry Byrne (“the Company”), and is available at bizby.co and through our mobile apps (together, the “Service”). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The data controller for your information is Henry Byrne, PO Box 2662, New York, NY 10014. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@bizby.co.

2. Information we collect

Sign-in and account details. You can create a Bizby account in three ways: with an email address, with Google, or with Sign in with Apple. Whichever you choose, we collect:

  • Your email address. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your address, we receive Apple's private relay address instead of your real one, and that is all we ever see.
  • Your name or display name, where you give it to us or where your sign-in provider passes it on. Sign in with Apple shares your name only on your first sign-in, and only if you allow it.
  • A Bizby user ID, the identifier that ties your account to your data in our database.

What you tell the Service.

  • Your quiz answers, goals, interests, skills, and other onboarding responses.
  • What you type to the idea bot, including interests, draft ideas, and chat messages. This content is sent to our AI provider, as described in section 4.
  • Your progress, completed steps, streak, and chosen idea.
  • Messages you send to support.

Purchase history. Your subscription status, which plan you are on, and your renewal, trial, and expiry dates. On the web this comes from Stripe. In the iOS app it comes from the Apple App Store by way of RevenueCat.

Device and diagnostic data. RevenueCat receives a device identifier (the vendor identifier your device gives our app) together with your Bizby user ID, so that a purchase can be matched to your account. Sentry, our crash and error reporting tool, receives diagnostic data when something goes wrong: the error and its stack trace, plus basic app version, operating system, and device model information. Our hosting and database providers process your IP address in the course of delivering the Service.

Product analytics we run ourselves. We record a small set of product events, for example finishing the quiz or opening the paywall, each stored with your Bizby user ID and a timestamp. These events are written to our own database. They are not sent to any analytics company, and no third-party analytics SDK is involved.

Information from third parties: Google and Apple when you sign in with them (a basic profile and an email address, which may be a private relay address), Stripe (your web subscription and payment status), the Apple App Store (your in-app subscription status), and RevenueCat, which manages and verifies your iOS subscription status on our behalf.

Payment information. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. In the iPhone app, purchases are processed by the Apple App Store. In either case we do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide the Service: generate your business ideas, build and personalize your roadmap, run the idea bot, and save your progress and streak. This involves sending what you tell us to our AI provider, as described in section 4.
  • To manage your account and your subscription status.
  • To send you daily and weekly step reminders and other Service messages, where you have allowed them.
  • To respond to support requests, measure and improve the Service, keep it safe, and comply with legal obligations.

4. AI features and the idea bot

Bizby is built on AI. We use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, PBC, to generate your business ideas, to write your personalized roadmap and the content of each step, and to produce the idea bot's replies. These are core features of the Service, not optional extras, so using Bizby means your information is processed by this third-party AI service.

What we send to Anthropic. To generate that content we send Anthropic the information you give us, including your quiz and onboarding answers (your goals, interests, skills, available time and budget), the messages you type to the idea bot, and the idea and roadmap context needed to continue where you left off. We also send the first name or display name you chose, so the idea bot can address you by name. We do not send Anthropic your email address, your password, or any payment details.

How Anthropic handles it. Anthropic acts as our service provider (processor) under contract and processes this information only to return a response to us. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. Anthropic may retain data for a limited period for safety, abuse detection, and legal compliance. You can read Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

What this means for you. Please do not enter sensitive personal information (for example health, financial account, or government ID details) into the quiz or the idea bot. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output shown to other users, and no person at Bizby reviews every response before you see it, so always check it before relying on it. These AI features do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. We may use de-identified or aggregated inputs and outputs to improve the Service.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract, your consent (which you can withdraw), our legitimate interests, and legal obligation.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers (processors) who work for us under contract, with Stripe and the app stores for payment processing, for legal and safety reasons, in a business transfer, or with your consent. Our service providers are Anthropic (the AI that generates ideas, roadmap content, and chat replies; see section 4), Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (web payments), RevenueCat with the Apple App Store (iOS subscriptions), and Sentry (crash and error reporting).

7. Third-party SDKs, and why none of this is tracking

Our iOS app includes exactly two third-party SDKs, and no others:

  • RevenueCat, which manages and verifies your subscription. It receives your Bizby user ID, a device identifier, and your purchase history.
  • Sentry, which reports crashes and errors so we can fix them. It receives diagnostic data about the failure and your device, not your quiz answers or your chats with the idea bot.

What we do not use. Bizby contains no advertising SDK, no ad network, no attribution or ad measurement SDK, and no third-party analytics SDK. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, because we have nothing to track you with.

No tracking, no data brokers. None of the information described in this policy is used for tracking as the app stores define that term. We do not link it to data collected about you in other companies' apps or websites for advertising or measurement purposes, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not sell or share your personal information. This applies to every data type listed in section 2, and is consistent with the privacy disclosures we provide to the App Store.

8. Cookies and analytics

On our website we use browser storage only for what the Service needs in order to work, namely keeping you signed in and saving an in-progress draft on your own device. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. Our product analytics are first-party and are described in section 2.

9. Progress sync and data retention

Your quiz answers, roadmap progress, streak, and chosen idea are stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) so you can pick up where you left off on any device. This data is tied to your account and is not shared with other users. We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations.

10. Security and international transfers

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No method is completely secure. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Your privacy rights

EEA and UK residents may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may have the right to know, delete, and correct, to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (we do not sell), and to limit use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any right, email privacy@bizby.co.

12. Children

Bizby is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time and will update the date above for material changes. Questions? Email privacy@bizby.co.
